A MAZE. / Berlin 2021 - Hyper Hybrid

SPACECRAFT Arcade is a space-battle video arcade game whose 'wire frame' graphics are based on hand-made African wire art. It is a project by African Robots & SPACECRAFT, interventionist art projects which have been collaborating with street wire artists in Southern Africa to produce interactive electronic and science fiction-themed wire art, for several years. This talk by the artist explores the project through the lenses of Digital Futurism, vernacular and popular cultures of the South, ethnomathematics and anthropophagy.
